Melissa believes that life should be lived with compassion for one another, gratitude, and joy. These values guide her teachings, which are focused on helping her students and clients better connect to themselves while improving their physical and emotional well-being. She combines FST, Mindfulness, Meditation and Yoga in a holistic way, supporting each individuals healing journey.
After struggling to find the right balance between her job and family she became a Yoga Alliance & Ageless Arts Certified Yoga Teacher (RYT200.) setting her on a new path of self-discovery and healing. Melissa has also experienced challenges with OCD, anxiety and grief giving her a better appreciation of how holistic approaches can help manage these issues and others.
Her desire to make yoga accessible to everyone, she continued her training and completed two certifications in Chair Yoga. As she deepened her asana practice, she found a particular fascination with anatomy, inspiring her to complete all 10 levels of Anatomy Trains with Tom Myers. Wanting to offer more to her clients, Melissa researched options for reducing pain through an assisted movement platform and subsequently completed her certification in Fascial Stretch Therapy at the Stretch to Win Institute in Toronto Ontario. As a certified Fascial Stretch Therapist (FST) she now offers hands-on assessments, treatments and rehabilitation plans for her clients.
